How Animals Grieve (2016)

This piece is dedicated to the memory of my cousin James Shiel, and his son Andy.  It was commissioned by Third Coast Percussion, and was premiered by them at Constellation (Chicago, USA) in June 2016.

Just Before the War with the Eskimos (2014)

for two violins, double bass and two custom-cast bronze bells

This piece was commissioned by the Change Ringing Ensemble, and was premiered at Limewharf, Dec 2014, with Darren Bloom Conducting.
The performers are: Eloisa-Fluer Thom (Violin), Ed McCullagh (Violin), Jakub Cywinski (Double Bass) and Tom Lee (Percussion).

The Geometry of Clouds (2015)

for Piano Quartet

This piece was written for the 2014 Aspen Music Festival, at which I was the Polonsky Fellow in Composition, and was revised the next year for the Tanglewood Music Centre where I held the Elliott Carter Memorial Fellowship.
The performers are: Lifan Zhu (Violin), Jacob Shack (Viola), Jesse Christenson (Cello) and Andrew Hsu (Piano)
