I’ve now been up and back from Aldeburgh for the second week of the Jerwood Opera Writing Programme. It was the second of three weeks (the first was in November, the final week is in July) which bring together composers, writers and directors in the creation of new opera.

[ May 24, 2011 10:00 am to May 25, 2011 1:00 pm. ] Aaron has been asked to conduct the BMus 4th year composition student’s orchestral pieces in their final workshop on May 24th and 25th at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. There will be six new works for full orchestra premiered on the day.
[ March 30, 2011; 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. ] Something More Than Light (2007) will be performed at the Bangor New Music Festival on 30th March, by Rhuti Carr (Oboe), Heidi Parsons (Cello), Sebastian Wybrew (Piano) with live painting by artist Maria Högbacke
