Aaron has been selected as a composer for the 2010 Jerwood Opera Writing Program, at Aldeburgh.
He was selected with 19 other participants from more than 130 applicants to spend three weeks at Aldeburgh over the coming year working with professional composers, designers, and writers to study and to develop an idea/project for a future Opera.
Now and again
I have turned back to Earthward -
& along whatever length you lent
felt the bend in the branches which I bent
And I have finally learned
that I am nothing if not broken.
I’ve heard their whispers
resounding in their so-called hallowed halls.
I have traced the faultlines of their prayers -
assaying my heart -
